This café isn't just a spot for coffee; it's a haven that resonates warmth and community spirit, steeped in the kindness of its volunteer staff. Tucked away from the bustling streets, the café is accessible via a charming, if not slightly adventurous, flight of stairs—or you may find a lift if you keep your eyes peeled.

The café opens its doors to a bright and inviting atmosphere filled with gently squishy sofas and the delightful murmur of conversation. It feels like a home away from home, encouraging you to linger a little longer over your drink. Regulars rave about the cozy ambiance and the comfortable seating, making it a perfect place for both solo visitors and groups.

The coffee served at The Cosy Coffee House has garnered acclaim from local patrons who insist it’s the best in Woking. The barista’s craft shines through every cup, whether you’re indulging in a creamy cappuccino, a robust espresso, or one of their seasonal specials. Beyond coffee, their menu features an enticing selection of brunch items, including the Smashed Avocado & Feta on Toast for just £4.50—a creamy delight that perfectly marries textures and flavors. For a sweeter treat, don't overlook the Cakes of the Day, whimsically priced at only £1.75, which are baked with love and destined to satisfy your sweet tooth.

But it doesn't stop at their delightful culinary offerings; reviews from regulars bring the café's splendid character to life. Katie K. shares her excitement about discovering this hidden gem, praising not just the brisket and loose-leaf tea but the café's positive impact on the community. Ria Harris echoes this sentiment with her love for the cozy décor and friendly ambiance—as well as the tempting cakes! Meanwhile, Nicky Hagan highlights how the profits go towards charitable initiatives, reminding us of the important work being done behind the scenes.

As you sip your drink amidst the warm chatter, you may find the essence of community spirit resonating deeply with each interaction. Everyone is invited to become a part of this vibrant atmosphere; as Yahya Ahmed wisely sums it up, "be a regular and try the food and drinks on offer."

So, if you're wandering through Woking, make your way to The Lighthouse and discover The Cosy Coffee House. Relish the delightful coffee, homemade sweets, and the refreshing sense of connection that makes this café a beloved spot. What a lovely cafe and it helps the community! So glad we found the cosy cafe. Tucked away at the top of the lighthouse building it is well worth finding! We followed the signs and found such a cosy welcoming place, great for a bite to eat and the loose leaf tea was amazing! Will definitely be back

So happy I’ve found the Cosy Coffee House! This is proper barista coffee in sweet crockery and I love it. Possibly the best cafe in Woking and Guildford… Lovely (super friendly staff) relaxing cafe with proper squidgy sofas too. Cakes looked good but didn’t try. I’ll be back as soon as I can for brownie sampling!

Follow the signboards and go to the back of the building and take the stairs up. There might be a lift somewhere but we didn’t see it and just walked up. There’s a really nice open space and great to sit around at when the weather is nice. Otherwise there’s plenty of seating in the cafe itself.

Best coffee in Woking, period. Friendly and polite volunteers run cafe for your local charity and provide exceptional service. Highly recommend paying a visit. Better still, be a regular and try the food and drinks on offer. Don’t be put off by the thought of going up the stairs, it’s good exercise! Avoid all global chains that don’t pay a penny in taxes!

The best coffee shop in Woking. Beautiful space, lovely staff and the most delicious coffee. The food is also great and very reasonable, plus the cakes… all made in house and change on a regular basis with seasonal specials too. And the best bit? The staff are volunteers with all profits going to help the work of The Lighthouse. A must visit!
